INDUSTRY RECOMMENDATIONS:

Andy Davies - Knald Technologies / Eat3D - Technical / Environment Artist

"Richard is a talented and driven artist whose enthusiasm, passion, dedication and hard working nature are very much to his credit. He continually strives to hone his craft by acquiring new skills (something that he's always extremely eager to do) and software in order to improve his art and solidify his already rock solid place in the 3d world.

Richard has made many high quality and informative tutorials for Eat3d and also gave much invaluable feedback during the Knald beta (www.knaldtech.com).

I would be more than happy to work with him on any project in the future."

Karen B Wehner - CEO Thundersnow Media - The Time Tribe

"It has been an absolute pleasure to employ Richard (Pipes) Piper as a Senior Environment Artist for the set up of The TIme Tribe. Pipes has worked on a virtual basis for our US-based studio, completing approximately 20 pieces of original artwork ranging from simple icon images to full 3D environments.

Aside from obvious raw talent, Pipes brings a rare dedication, enthusiasm – even joy to his work. He is incredibly motivated and welcomes any and all challenges with a cheerful, can-do attitude, even in crunch times. He works very quickly and accurately with minimal direction, and responds graciously to feedback. He never once missed a deadline, and often beat them.

I have been especially impressed with his habit of continually expanding his own artistic toolbox, seeking out and mastering new skills on his own time, in order to experiment with unfamiliar techniques and to tackle projects outside his core comfort zone. Any studio would be lucky to employ him on a full-time basis. I only wish our startup studio was in a position to do so!"

Ben Moseley - Lead Artist at TT Fusion

"Richard is a highly skilled artist, and well respected individual within the work place and amongst friends. He has a brilliant positive attitude with anything he turns his hand to. Over the past couple of years I have worked with Richard he has shown his passion for games as a fan but more so as a multi skilled environment artist.

He is an excellent communicator and and always meets deadlines and always puts in the extra hours needed to polish his work to the highest standard we have come to expect from him.

He is one person I can rely on to not only get a task done well but have the initiative to liase with other departments such as design and code to ensure the work he has produced comes across as best it can once in game."

Louise Andrew - Art Director at TT Fusion

"Richard (Pipes) has worked as an artist on my team for over two years now and he has been a pleasure to work with.
He is a really hard working, highly motivated, enthusiastic and dedicated artist. He strives for perfection and really cares about his work.
He is a good team player and good fun to be around and I would be very happy to work with him again on future projects."

Matthew Clifton - CEO PolyPusher Studios

"I first met Richard whilst he was studying at Bournemouth University and was immediately taken back by his all round 3D ability. Since then I have approached Richard numerous times with regards to 3D creation techniques and I have always found him to be extremely knowledgeable, passionate about his craft and a real joy to deal with. I can't recommend Richard enough, he would be an invaluable assets to any company and any project."

Jonathan Bate - Lead Artist

"Richard is a very hardworking, dependable and a dedicated member of staff regularly putting in extra hours. Richard not only performs his duties well, he continually works to develop new skill sets and is eager to learn from fellow employees. He shows a good attitude and is always willing to tackle difficult tasks.

Since Richard started the quality of his work has improved with each task and over the last couple of years he has demonstrated competence and knowledge beyond his experience. Richard is a very popular member of the team and a pleasure to work with."

Lee Clark - Environment Artist

"I have worked with Richard for the past 2 years and have found him to be a hard worker with a friendly attitude even during the hardest crunch. His passion for games especially retro is matched by his willingness to learn new techniques which he is always keen to share with other members of the team. He has experience beyond his years which he has used to make him a integral member of our team and would make him an invaluable part of any studio."

Philip Howlett - Environment Artist

"Richard is a dedicated and highly motivated individual. He is always pushing himself to learn new skills and his passion for environment art is second to none.

I worked on the same team as Pipes during development of Lego City Undercover. His art work throughout was of a high standard and always delivered on time.

Always approachable, and a pleasure to work with, I would consider Pipes an invaluable team member."
